Perfectly Norman by Tom Percival.
Perfectly Norman was always so normal until one day he grew a pair of wings, so he decided to test them out, he was having so much fun until he realised that he had to go in for dinner but he didn't know how his parents would feel about his new wings as he was always so normal. So as Norman when inside he tried to cover his wings up with a big coat. And he continue to wear this coat everywhere he went. "He wished he'd never grown those stupid wings" Then he saw birds up in the sky and remembered the joy it bought to him flighting so he realised it wasn't the wings making him unhappy it was the coat. A great story about enjoying what you have and don't hide away, be proud and happy with what you have. You don't have to be normal to fit in.... What is normal anyways right?
